







Training Hall (Dojang)
A taekwondo student can typically expect to take part in most or all of the following:
Taekwondo grading curriculum
Aerobic and anaerobic class workout
Stretching
Self defence techniques including knife disarms
Patterns (also called forms, (poomsae)
Sparring (Three and One - step, Freestyle and
Full Contact)
Destruction (Also known as breaking), the student will
use techniques to smash boards, tiles or other materials).
All Wigan TKD instructors are Criminal Records Bureau Checked,
holders of Official Kukkiwon certificates Registered in Korea,
Wigan Taekwondo is a member of British Taekwondo
(formly B.T.C.B. British Taekwondo Control Board).
All instructors have attended courses and received certificates in,
Safeguarding Children, Autism Awareness, Paediatric First Aid,
and Effective Anti - Bullying Practice in Extended Services.
We are a Special member of the Kukkiwon membership System.
